LUMHS VC inaugurates Learning Hub & Digital Projects

The Vice Chancellor of the Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) Prof Dr Ikram Din Ujjan inaugurated the ‘Learning Hub’ at the Department of Information Technology.

It’s a facility for teachers, undergraduate and postgraduate students to brainstorm and harness ideas. Likewise, an event on the digital transformation initiative was also organized for a brief demonstration of the attendance & examination system.

A walkthrough system was also displayed by the Project Leader Zia Ahmed Shaikh covering major requirements of the varsity software systems including attendance & examinations. Meanwhile, SI360 mobile application was inaugurated. It has been developed by the LUMHS App-Centre of the IT Department to facilitate students of all academic programs.

The SI360 is an android based mobile application that provides important information to students at their fingertips including details about student’s profile, academic information, financial statistics, lodging complaint and academic standing.

The same app can also be used by accessing the students’ portal on the LUHMS website.

The program ended with the distribution of shields and certificates among team members. A souvenir was presented to the Vice Chancellor for being the driving force, guidance, and constant support during the implementation process for digital transformation at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences.
