UTA demands inquiry against corrupt people appointment in education department

The United Teachers Association Chairman and the Save Education Action Committee Convener-ur-Rehman has asked that the education minister to ensure merit in the appointment of teachers at state-run schools.

Rehman in a statement has said that the officers who were suspended on charges of corruption are being brought back one by one and appointed to higher positions at schools and education department.

He asked the minister that these would destroy the education system as the department is already a hotbed of corruption. The promotion of suspended officers to higher posts gives the impression that these appointments are being made after exchanging huge money.

“We request the Sindh Chief Minister and Sindh Education Minister to pay special attention to this matter. The development of the country depends on education as education of the province is on the brink of disaster”.
