Dr. Jan Muhammad Marri, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Sindh Agricultural University (SAU) Sub-Campus Umer Kot, said that development in any scientific field, research, medical, engineering, agricultural science, finance, or industry in the world has become impossible without computer and information technology. Therefore, if youth are trained in computer applications along with professional degrees, they can give better results in the practical field, he was addressing at a ceremony to distribute certificates to trainees who have completed training in “Computer Application and Office Automation” under the Prime Minister’s Hunarmand Pakistan Program (Batch-02) under the auspices of National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) at sub-campus Umer Kot.
Dr. Marri said that the youth of Thar are very talented; the students of Thar have given good results in Engineering, Medical, and Mathematics all over Pakistan including Sindh. This training will help them a lot in the practical field.
Social Activist Mir Hassan Arisar said that academic facilities in various fields including agriculture and information technology have been made available in the SAU sub-campus Umer Kot for Thari Students, which will lead to development in the area.
Ms. Lubna Khoso instructor NAVTTC training program said that 350 candidates from different parts of Thar applied for this training out of which 50 candidates were trained and this course was completed in 6 months.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad Marri, PVC SAU Sub-campus, Mir Hassan Arisar Ghulam Mustafa Khoso, Ms. Lubna Khoso and Wasim Sajjad distributed certificates among the successful trainees.
