Kinnaird College launches Women’s Safety Wall

Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) in collaboration with Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) and Women’s Peace Council (WPC) launched Women’s Safety Wall at Kinnaird College, Lahore to create awareness about the Women Safety App among the students.

The event was chaired by Uzma Kardar Chairperson Standing Committee on Gender mainstreaming, Asim Jasra Commondar Punjab Safe City Authority, Syed Kausar Abbas, Executive Director Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO).

Asim Jasra gave a detailed presentation on the use of Women Safety App. they said that more than one lac women are using this app. Syed Kausar Abbas said that one should prove to be a civilized citizen by cooperating with the police. He said that more and more students would get the opportunity to benefit from Safety Wall. Dr Ra’ana Malik thanked the participants and said that balance in the society would continue to play a role for gender relations. “Using a safety app will boost women’s sense of security,” she said.
