Imran Khan’s GCU visit: Governor takes notice, Mariam demands strict action

Governor Punjab Baligh Ur Rahman took notice of Imran Khan’s visit to Government College University (GCU), while Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz demanded strict action against Vice Chancellor Dr Asghar Zaidi.

Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman took notice of conducting a political program of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the GCU.

The Punjab governor, taking notice of the act, said it is sad to make the renowned educational institution of the country a political arena. There is no room for such political activities in universities, he added.

Governor Baligh said that as chancellor, he had taken notice of the political program on the GCU Lahore campus. He also said children are the future of a nation, so there is no room to push them into politics.

PMLN’s Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz also demanded action against Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Government College University (GCU), Dr Asghar Zaidi, for allowing PTI Chairman Imran Khan to make a political address to the students.

In a tweet, Maryam demanded that strict action be taken against the vice chancellor (VC) of Government College University for allowing Imran Khan to conduct a rally on the premises of the educational institution. She said using an educational institution to spread political hatred is a crime that should be punished.
