Girls lay claim to overall top three positions in Annual Intermediate Exams 2018 

Private Colleges claim lion’s share of top positions across all exam groups 

 

Girls appearing for the Annual Intermediate Exams 2018 from private colleges claimed all the top positions as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced credentials of position holders on Tuesday.

Almost all the top positions in the examinations were claimed by students enrolled in private colleges across the region, with students of public colleges remaining few and far between among the position holders.

Kashaf Sanaullah from the Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, Lahore was declared to have attained the overall most marks in the inter results 2018 with 1,062, while Sajal Tariq from the same college was declared the student with the second highest marks with 1,058. The third position was also secured by a student of the same college, Kashaf Ali, who attained 1,053 marks.

All three girls belong to the pre-medical group.

The names of position holders in the annual intermediate exams 2018 for FSc and FA results were announced on Tuesday evening at BISE Lahore office by Chairman Prof Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail. According to the detailed announcement of inter 2018 results by BISE Lahore, Hussnain Mushtaq from Government College University (GCU) Lahore secured the first position in the Pre-Medical Group (Boys) with 1,045 marks, while Hamza Ahmed from GCU Lahore and Hamid Arshad from Punjab College of Science, Ferozepur Road, Lahore claimed the second position at 1,044 marks. The third position was secured by Muhammad Zain from KIPS College for Boys, Green Town, with 1,042 marks.

In the Pre-Engineering Group (Boys), Osama Aqeel from Punjab College of Science, Ferozepur Road, secured the first position with 1,051 marks and Muhammad Haris Shah and Sheraz Ahmad, both from GCU Lahore, shared the second position with 1,049 marks. Muhammad Usama from GCU Lahore was declared third with 1,048 marks.

Sana Sajid from Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, was declared first with 1,034 marks in the Pre-Engineering Group (Girls). Hareem Raza from Government Kinnaird College for Women was placed second with 1,032 marks and Arooj Irfan from Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, was declared third with 1,030 marks.

In the General Science Group (Boys) of FA/FSC 2018 results, Muhammad Saqib Rana from Punjab College of Information Technology, Muslim Town, was declared first with 1,029 marks, while Muhammad Umer Farooq from Punjab College of Commerce & Science, Raiwind, secured the second position with 1,027 marks. Muhammad Umair Malik from Punjab College of Commerce, Chouburji was third with 1,016 marks.

Fatima Shafqat from Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, was the topper in General Science Group (Girls) with 1,028 marks, while Fatima Saleem and Zainab Naz Butt from the same college secured the second and third positions with 1,010 and 1,008 marks, respectively.

The Commerce Group for boys saw Mian Furqan Waqar of Punjab College of Commerce, Muslim Town, securing first position with 1,005 marks, followed by Muhammad Safiullah from GCU Lahore at second place with 997 marks. Mobin Hassan from Punjab College of Commerce, Muslim Town was declared third with 990 marks.

In the girls’ commerce group, Javaria Javed Khan from Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, stood first with 1,009 marks. Laiba Babar, a private candidate, and Muttal Asif from Aspire College for Girls, Gulberg III, were joint second with 999 marks. The third position was claimed by Samra Altaf from Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town with 997 marks.

The Humanities Group for boys was topped by Usman Ghani from Government Higher Secondary School Kasur with 954 marks. Ghulam Mustafa from Stars Degree College for Boys, Shahdhara, was second with 950 marks and Taimoor Raza Sultan from GCU Lahore was third with 948 marks.

For the girls in Humanities, Iqra from Allama Iqbal Public Higher Secondary School for Girls, Kasur, stood first with 1,015 marks, Tayyaba Dar from Government Inter College for Girls, Sheikhupura stood second with 993 marks and Uzma Waris from Punjab College for Women Muslim Town Lahore was declared third with 988 marks.
