The admissions process for all private medical and dental colleges and universities in Sindh begins today(Wednesday) as Jinnah Sindh medical University (JSMU) launched an online portal for applications.
The deadline for submission of applications is January 20, 2022. According to the Director of Admissions at JSMU Dr. Fatima Abid, all the aspiring candidates of the MBBS and BDS programme are invited to submit their complete academic details, along with official documents on the official web portal.
Aspiring candidates for MBBS and BDS programme are required to submit their institute preferences in order. Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Shahid Rasul said that JSMU is following the policy of accepting 50% marks in the national MDCAT examination as directed by the provincial Minister for Health Dr. Azra Pechuhu. He described upholding merit and transparency in admissions process as JSMU’s top priority.
JSMU was given the task to conduct the admissions to all private medical and dental colleges and universities in a notification issued by the Sindh Health department last Saturday. Admissions to the public medical and dental colleges and universities in Sindh are being handled by the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana this year.
Admissions to medical and dental colleges and universities are held centrally for the province of Sindh and the university conducting the Admissions sends the names of successful candidates to the college of their choice matching with their merit numbers.
