UET pays tribute To Pakistan Army

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore commemorated “Surprise Day” as “Falcons Day” and paid tribute to Pakistan Army.

In this regard, a ceremony was organized under the supervision of worthy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar to pay tribute to Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Army who once again proved Pakistan’s supremacy over India on February 27, 2020. The participants of the ceremony presented a documentary in favor of PAF.

The Deans, Chairmen, Director of Students Affairs, Public Relations Officer and students were also present at the ceremony. The participants praised Hassan Siddiqui who shot down Indian fighter Jet. Addressing the ceremony vice-chancellor Professor Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar said that a lesson was given to India as well as International Community by Pakistan on that day and it is Thanksgiving Day. He further said that Pakistan Army followed international laws when the Indian Pilot surrendered and gave him the best medical treatment in an emergency and served him tea and food. By doing all this Pakistan has given a message to the international community that we were a responsible nation. He also said that Operation Swift Retort was not a surprise for us as we already believed that Pakistan Army had the capacity to live up to its legacy with professional excellence. At this occasion DSA Professor Dr Asif Ali Qaiser said that we pay tribute to our Army who had safeguarded and secured Pakistan and we assure them the whole nation stands with them. Earlier, Dr Mansoor Sarwar also cut a cake to commemorate the first Surprise Day.
