ZU & DZH set up medical camps for flood victims in Hilaya, Thatta

A team of students, doctors and support medical staff from Ziauddin University (ZU) and Dr Ziauddin Hospitals (DZH) set up a medical and relief camp for flood victims in Hilaya, Thatta, under the supervision of Dr Nida Hussain, Pro-chancellor, ZU. The purpose of the medical and relief camp is to help flood-affected people in Sindh who are passing through dreadful conditions due to catastrophic floods and are left homeless with no medicine, food and shelter.

In her visit to the relief camp in Thatta, Dr Nida Hussain said that our relief camp is in full swing where our team consisting of doctors, medical students, paramedics and nursing staff are tirelessly working at the flood-relief camp in Hilaya, Thatta.

“Flood-relief camp is consistently providing free check-up, medicines, paramedics support, and food supplies to the people who are lying in awful conditions soon after the wave of recent floods in the country has completely shattered the lives of the masses and the routine life of the locals in the rural areas”, she further added.

She said that this is not the first time Dr Ziauddin Hospital and Ziauddin University has played its pivotal role in helping out the countrymen in times of natural calamities but in the past also, such practices were routine norm undertaken by the medical facility at various times.

Pro-chancellor of Ziauddin University, Dr Nida Hussain visited the medical and relief camp in Hilaya and the various educational institutions in Thatta and the adjacent areas where the displaced and the flood-affected are dwelling at present.

In her visit, she offered her all-out support to the people in Thatta along with the staff of the Ziauddin University who are continuously putting all their efforts to bring comfort to the sufferings of the heartbroken people.
