At the beginning of the event, the Director Division of Education Professor Dr Ayaz Muhammad Khan welcomed the participants and gave a briefing about the aims and objectives of the international conference.

In the opening ceremony of the International Conference, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Nasir Pasha welcomed the participants of the conference and said that undoubtedly the secret of the moral, social and economic development of nations lies in education. Pakistan is facing the most difficult situation in history today, the solution of which can be found only through development in the field of education and research. However, the most important thing in this is educational guidance and the best strategy. If our education system, curriculum and policy are not in accordance with the ground realities and contemporary requirements, then the nation cannot benefit from the rich fruits of such education.

It is imperative that we today once again review our education policy and adopt a strategy on a permanent basis that will have far-reaching and sustainable positive effects. He said that the University of Education is playing its active role for the development of our country in the field of education, a clear proof of which is today’s international conference.

Addressing the conference, the chief guest Dr Syed Sohail H Naqvi said that first of all, I congratulate the University of Education, Lahore for organizing this international conference on the most important topic of the time. He said that the challenges that our nation is facing today can undoubtedly be faced only through development in the field of education.

Unfortunately there is a huge gap between the education of graduates and our industrial needs, which we can close through better education policy. I strongly believe that this conference will play an important role in shaping our national educational philosophy.

Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Arshad, heads of all campuses and divisions of Lahore based of UE, foreign guests and a large number of students were present on this occasion.
