UET Lahore holds 9th Annual Career Fair 2023

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore hosted its Career Fair 2023, to provide opportunities to students for gainful employment as well as to strengthen its partnership with existing and prospective employers.

Vice-Chancellor UET Lahore Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar inaugurated the event and visited all the stalls of the companies / Industries along with Convener Career Fair Prof Dr Naveed Ramzan and Coordinator Prof Dr Asif Ali Qaiser.

UET Lahore has been organizing this Annual Career Fair for the past 9 years. In the year 2015, the Career Fair started with 20 stalls of 20 Industries. The number of stalls was 65 in 2016, 100 in 2017 and 114 in 2019. From 2020 to 2022 it reached 130, 111 and 161 stalls respectively. This year about 111 Industries with 175 stalls participated in the event. The companies were from the discipline of software and IT, Chemical and Polymer, Textile, Construction, Mechanical, Steel, educational consultant, etc. Different organisations conducted the interviews for recruitment, around 20 Companies conducted recruitment tests and made job offers on the spot. Rest gave orientation sessions for students.

Approximately 8000 students visited the event. In an effort to improve the quality of university graduates, the university, on the direction of Vice-Chancellor, took written feedback from the companies regarding strengths and deficiencies in their students and graduates. The Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar also appreciated the efforts of the Chair Prof Dr Naveed Ramzan, Co-Chair Prof Dr Asif Ali Qaiser and other members of organizing team including Staff and students. In the end of event a closing ceremony was organized, where souvenirs were presented to participant companies and organizers.
