PU Radio FM 104⋅6 honors Sikh pilgrims

Punjab University (PU) School of Communication Studies (SCS) Radio Center FM 104⋅6 organized an event in the honor of Sikh pilgrims from Australia at Hameed Nizami Memorial Hall.

On this occasion, Spokesperson of the Sikh pilgrims from Australia Sardar Sarbjit Singh, Dean Faculty of Information and Media Studies Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood, Chairperson Department of Digital Media Prof Dr Savera Shami, Radio Coordinator Dr Akram Soomro, Director General Population and Welfare Department (PWD) Punjab Saman Roy, Resource Person Wajiha Arif, Audio Editor Masood Mallhi, faculty members and students were present.

In his address, Sardar Sarbjit Singh said that I have visited Pakistan many times. He said that two books have been launched in this program of the University Radio, which is memorable for me. Satwant Singh Brah said that I feel like I have returned to my student days today. He also sincerely acknowledged the love and affection of the Pakistani people. They presented a lifetime achievement award to renowned Pakistani actor and comedian Iftikhar Thakur.

On this occasion, Radio Coordinator Dr Akram Soomro welcomed the guests while Prof Dr Savera Shami said that it is an honor for us to welcome you. Dr Khalid Mahmood said that Pakistan is a land of lively people and the love and acceptance you are talking about will be there whenever you come here. Later, souvenirs were presented to the guests while certificates of honor were distributed among the students.
