A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) to establish long-term, sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of bilateral interest for promoting research, industrial linkages, training, education and employment opportunities between PSW and SSUET.

Registrar SSUET, Engr. Cdre (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali on behalf of the Sir Syed University and People & OD Manager Usman Mahboob on behalf of the Pakistan Single Window signed the agreement.

Partner organizations agreed to support research opportunities, including joint research projects, and short-term placement of university faculty members at PSW organization and vice versa for better appreciation of the industrial and education environment. According to the contact, Pakistan Single Window will provide internship opportunities for SSUET students and graduates.

The Pakistan Single Window initiative led by Pakistan Customs aims at reducing the time and cost of doing business by digitalizing Pakistan’s cross border trade and eliminating paper based manual processes. PSW aims to provide an integrated electronic platform that allows parties involved in international trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit regulatory requirements.
