JSMU Laboratory retains ISO certification until 2024

Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) Diagnostic Laboratory and Blood Bank successfully retained the ISO certification 9001:2015 for the period of 2021-2024 by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO), United Kingdom. The certification was received on June 1, 2022.

While congratulating the team of Jinnah Sindh Medical University Diagnostic Laboratory and Blood Bank for receiving ISO certification, Vice Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon said that getting accreditation from ISO is a single step forward out of many more for Jinnah Sindh Medical University Diagnostic Laboratory and the team of JSMU Lab has put in untiring efforts to achieve their target.

The certification was awarded after an annual surveillance audit and meeting the quality paradigm of laboratory facilities, provision of pathology services in the field of Hematology, Histopathology, Cytology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Serology and Parasitology, and Blood Bank.

Established in May 2017, Jinnah Sindh Medical University Lab received its first quality assurance certificate in June 2018. In Charge of Jinnah Sindh Medical University Lab and Associate Professor Dr Naveed-uz-Zafar and Manager Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Diagnostic Laboratory Hasnain Abbas presented the certificate to Vice Chancellor Jinnah Sindh Medical University Professor Amjad Siraj Memon.
