JSMU Diagnostic Laboratory inaugurated 7th collection unit

Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) inaugurated its seventh collection unit of JSMU Diagnostic Laboratory and Blood Bank in the presence of Vice-Chancellor JSMU Professor Dr Amjad Siraj Memon, Registrar JSMU Dr Azam Khan, Executive Director National Institute of Cardio-Vascular Diseases (NICVD) Dr Nadeem Qamar, Secretary General Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Dr Qaiser Sajjad, prominent Cardiologist and JSMU Alumnus Dr Javed Suleiman, Dr Zahid Jamal, Dr Mukarram, Lab Manager Hasnain Abbas, Director Affiliated Colleges Dr Rahat Naz, and Qazi Shabbir.

While inaugurating the lab unit, Vice-Chancellor JSMU Prof Dr Amjad Siraj Memon said that JSMU Diagnostic Laboratory is expanding in different parts of Sindh province and the results of JSMU Diagnostic Laboratory hold a reputation for accuracy and quality at affordable prices.

Earlier, a cardiac clinic adjacent to JSMU Diagnostic Laboratory and Blood Bank set up by the North American Physicians of Karachi Origin (NAPKO) was inaugurated by Executive Director NICVD Dr Nadeem Qamar in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon, Registrar JSMU Dr Azam Khan, and other leading faculty members.

Executive Director NICVD Dr Nadeem Qamar said that the clinic is a joint project of North American Physicians of Karachi Origin and Justuju Welfare Organization where medical professionals will advance their services without any compensation.

On the occasion, JSMU alumnus Dr. Javed Suleiman said that the NAPKO heart clinic is a preventive heart clinic, working on the prevalence of heart diseases among young people. He further informed that considering affordability for the local population, the clinic will only charge a nominal registration fee from the patients.

Vice Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon also appreciated the efforts of the entire team of Dr Zahid Jamal and Dr Javed Suleiman in establishing a high-quality clinic for all income groups and the students who laid the foundation of the Justuju Foundation.
