IUB updates University Act 1975

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has updated the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Act 1975. Engr Prof Dr Athar Mahboob, the Vice-Chancellor, appreciated the updated version of the Act as the Registrar Prof Dr Moazzam Jamil presented the Act to the Vice-Chancellor.

On this occasion, Treasurer Prof Dr Abubakar, Additional Registrar (Admin) Arif Ramoz and Additional Registrar (Meetings and Regulations) Imran Bhatta were also present.

The new copy of the IUB Act 1975 was published under the supervision of Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Prof Dr Jawad Iqbal and other members included in this committee Registrar, Prof Dr Moazzam Jamil, Treasurer, Prof Dr Abubakar, Prof (R) Dr Barkat Ali, Department of Law, Prof Dr Abdul Qudus Sial, Assistant Prof, Department Law, Abdul Sattar Zahori, Additional Treasurer, Additional Registrar Arif Ramoz, Additional Registrar Imran Bhatta, Assistant Registrar Hamid Chishti and Assistant Registrar Noreen Anjum are included.

On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Meetings and Regulations and emphasized that the University rules and regulations should be republished like the University Act.

In another meeting, Vice Chancellor, the IUB Dr Athar Mahboib has said that obtaining the royalty of cotton seeds produced by the IUB is an important step towards the self-sufficiency of the university.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed these views while speaking on the occasion of receiving the royalty cheque presented by Kenzo A-G Multan and Suncrop Group Multan. He also appreciated the services of Director Cotton Breeding Center Prof Dr Iqbal Bandisha who has benefited the farming community through cotton seeds and worked for the revival of the textile industry. Registrar Prof Dr Moazzam Jamil, Treasurer Prof Dr Abu Bakar and Faculty member Abdul Rahman were also present on this occasion.

It is worth mentioning that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur cotton seeds are commercial research products of the University which are very popular in the market.
