Elite Schools Agree To Reduce Fee By 20 Percent

Several Private schools  have agreed to decrease fee up to 20 percent as per the Punjab Government’s instruction here on Friday.

Representatives of several private schools called upon Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas and announced that they are willing to decrease tuition fee for the months of April and May.  Schools which have agreed to decrease fee include  Beaconhouse School, Lahore Grammar School, The City School, American Lycetoff, The Learning Alliance, The Trust School, Brookfield School, Salamat School and others.
The representatives of schools observed that they are willing to decrease the fee as this is crucial time and we stood by Punjab government. They said that everyone is suffering due to Corona virus and lockdown so we should take care of each other.
Minister Education Murad Raas observed that he is thankful to these private schools for cooperating. He said that this decrease would help parents suffering from economical condition due to lockdown. He said that education ministry would do anything to provide relief to parents.
Punjab Government has asked all private schools in province will charge 80 percent of the total fee for the months of April of May due to Corona virus pandemic. A meeting of Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Raja Basharat, Minister for Schools Education Murad Rass and officials of Schools Education Department was held which sent a summary to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar recommending charging 80 percent fee. The final decision would be taken by Chief Minister.
The summary states, “80 percent fee will be charged by the private schools to facilitate the large number of general masses during the spread of COVID-19 in Punjab for the month of April and May 2020. Fee will be charged on monthly basis, no teacher will be fired during this period and full salary will be paid to the employees of the school’.
