How to apply for the Sindh Scholarship Program

Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) is offering scholarships for the students from grade fifth who are currently enrolled in the schools run by the School Education and Literacy Department (SLED), Karachi under Sindh School Education Scholarship Program (SSEP). Generally, it is known as the Sindh Scholarship program.

Currently, the applications are invited for the scholarships for the academic year 2022-23 by SEF under SSEP.

The students who are accepted for the scholarship will get to study at Public School Gadap from grades 6 to 12. Hostel fees, tuition fees, and the cost of books, etc. will be covered under this scholarship. Moreover, the students will be awarded a monthly stipend.

The total number of students to be selected under this scholarship program is 70. Fifty seats are for boys and 20 for girls. There is an entry test that will happen before the selection of students for the scholarship. The minimum passing criterion for the test is 60% marks. However, the test will have sections of questions from General Science, English, and Urdu or Sindhi.

In order to apply for the scholarship, one needs to prepare all the documents beforehand. These are form-B, copies of the father’s domicile and CNIC, and school registration card. Along with them, six photographs in passport size will be required to be taken with a blue background. Moreover, the school leaving certificate has to be submitted at the time of admission.

In order to apply for the scholarship, candidates need to fill out the application form issued by the SEF, attach all the documents and send it to Public School Gadap, Karachi. The documents can be delivered by courier or by hand.

There are set criteria to be eligible for the scholarship. The applicant has to be a resident of Karachi East, Karachi West, Karachi Central, Karachi South, Malir, or Korangi districts of the Karachi division. The age of the applicant has to be not more than 12 years at the time of applying. Moreover, the candidate has to be a student of grade 5th at any school operated by the School Education and Literacy Department (SELD). It is necessary that the student has been studying in a government school for at least 3 years specifically during grade 5.

The entry test fee is Rs. 600 which all the applicants have to pay. The challan form after submitting it to Askari Bank has also to be submitted with the application form.

The last date to apply for this scholarship program is May 6th, 2022. Good luck with applying.
