Nanyang rose to the top on the back of strong showing among top 50 universities in the world for engineering and technology (4th), materials science (7th), and electrical and electronic engineering (6th). Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)

KAIST ranks higher particularly in STEM subjects that include engineering and technology, chemistry and material sciences. The developers at KAIST have introduced their own electric vehicle OLEV, which can recharge itself from underground cables and perform its functions. The university was named the 13 best in the world for studies related to material sciences in the QS World Rankings by subject and was the 4th best Asian University Rankings 2018. It is also placed 93rd best in the world for graduate employability.

City University of Hong Kong

Considered 49th best university on the charts of QS World Rankings 2018, City University of Hong Kong has made a significant reputation for itself despite being relatively young. In the subject-based rankings, it attained the 26th position for linguistics. Besides, several of its other subjects ranked high in the QS World Rankings, including mathematics, structural and civil engineering, accounting and finance, social policy and administration and communication and media studies. The university falls in the 121-130 range in global employability rankings.

Pohang University of Science And Technology (POSTECH)

Pohang University of Science And Technology (POSTECH) is a South Korean University that is dedicated to sciences, technology and engineering. The university ranks 71st in the QS World University rankings 2018, while it was judged the 12 best Asian university for 2018. The university is noted for top-notch education in material sciences, making it the 32nd best in the world for the subject. The university also ranks high for its citations per faculty and employer reputation along with employability.
