There are a ton of educational shows, documentaries and movies on Netflix which surprisingly cover a variety of interesting topics for everyone to binge watch. These educational shows, documentaries and movies airing on Netflix are truly something for every interest. These shows on Netflix are not only for educational purposes, but they are entertaining too, which will keep the viewers hooked on the shows. So, what, if you don’t like the series, but hey at least you all will be learning a few new things. Here is a list of educational yet fascinating shows on Netflix for both adults and kids. 1. Explained

The show; Explained goes in the depth of topics explaining them to the viewers thoroughly. Each episode focuses on a new topic with a different narrator and each episode is 15-20 minutes long so you can complete the show in a couple of hours only. With subjects varying from cryptocurrency to K- pop to astrology to stock market to eSports to cricket and much more. This show will keep you busy for a couple of hours.

2. Our Planet

Our Planet is a British documentary series made for Netflix, it is the first nature documentary that Netflix has ever made. This series is not only beautiful but also quite informative, this show focuses on the lives of these living creatures and how climate change is affecting their lives. If you are looking for a good nature documentary, then this is the right pick for you.

3. 100 Humans

This show revolves around 100 people who go through different sets of experiments. It helps us take a closer look at human behavior. About three scientists carry out test hypotheses for a few social experiments. This series gives us an insight of how humans tend to react to different situations. These episodes are about 35-40 minutes long and cover an entire scientific study which is engaging.

In today’s world, it is very easy for us to take things for granted. As digital technology is changing rapidly, we often forget about the little things that have been nothing but a real blessing for us such as bikes, sofas, socks and much more. In this show, you will be taught the backstories behind these useful items in a way that is very much mesmerizing and fun too. It is a show which will make you appreciate the little things in life which we hardly appreciate.

5. The Royal House of Windsor

If you are interested in the rich ancient history, then this is the show for you. The royal house in United Kingdom has quite the history which dives into the past 100 years, going way back to the family’s roots and their power and struggles. Each episode is 45-48 minutes approximately. These series take us way back in time, from World War1 to the present day.

6. The Toys That Made Us

This show consists of about 3 seasons with episodes ranging from 3-4 per season. These episodes are about 45 minutes long so you can easily binge watch this show in two or three days. In this show, we get to learn about the origins of the most popular iconic toys of all time. Some include barbie, Star Wars, He- Man and about some information of the companies like Mattel or Hasbro. These episodes are absolutely worth your time. The episodes consist of interviews with the designers of these major toy lines.

If you have a thing for learning more about the animal planet kingdom, then this show is a must watch for you. Each episode of these series shows us which animal is the most dangerous or has the capability to cause the most damage. This show also states some very interesting facts that many of would be unaware of so why not head over to Netflix and watch it yourself.

8. Salt Fat Acid Heat

This show is a must watch for all the foodies out there. This is only 1 season which has only 4 episodes that too of about 40 minutes each, this is the show which you can easily finish off in a day. Based off food writer and chef Samin Nosrat, these series break down essential blocks of cooking scrumptious food. This Netflix documentary follows the chef as she travels to culinary spots in different parts of the world, she discusses the food elements and as to what makes the food so yummy. Not only this but the most interesting part is that she also shares useful tips that come in handy while you are cooking to add flavors to your food. How cool is that?

9. Abstract: The Art of Design

This Netflix documentary series highlights artists in every field of design and questions about how the roles of these designs play in our everyday lives and as to how these designs have impacts in every aspect of life. From the costumes we see on the screens to the buildings we live in, the products that we buy have all been designed for the maximum effects.

History 101 is a documentary series on Netflix which has episodes that revolve around mini history lessons.
